Wearing

A perfect pair

The holiday season is upon us! I am excited for the festivities, and of course the fashion! I am crushing hard on the pairing of red plaid and leopard print. I am looking for any excuse to pair the two together. Luckily, I didn’t have to go too deep into my closet to find this adorable dress from Chic Wish and my favorite new wedges from Ann Taylor.

Max, my sister’s Boston Terrier, had to get in on the cuteness and join me in a few photos. Max and I might need our own holiday card this year, we make almost as perfect a pair as plaid and leopard print!

This dress is not only fun and festive for the holidays, it is also can be worn as a jacket. I love pieces that multitask! I’ve paired it with black leggings and tall boots for a different spin on the look.

Want to amp up the festive factor, pair your little red dress with vibrant red lips. The only rule here is to make sure your red hues match.  Avoid wearing a pink-based red lip with a dress in a blue-based red hue. One of my favorite red lipsticks is Nars Red Lizard. This color is a deeper than a true red and is a little on the blue side. It is a frequent flyer of mine during the holidays and wears well through cocktails and dinner.

It is no secret that I am a shoe addict. I love love love shoes. As a co-worker once included in an introduction of me, “she has never met an animal print she didn’t love.” She spoke the truth and leopard print is my favorite. I might have been a diva cat in another life so what can I say? It suits me. When I found these wedges in my favorite print, it was love at first sight. The shoes are on final sale at Ann Taylor and selling out quickly. So sad as they are stylish and comfortable. But, it’s not all sad news as leopard is on trend right now and there are so many options. I have included a few links below with similar shoes!

Max and I are wishing you the happiest of holidays this season! I hope your December is full of fun, friends, family and most importantly love and joy!

Loves, V
