Wearing

Booties, Leather, Ruffles…fall favs!

It’s November and we are finally welcoming the crisp fall air in Boston. It is time for sweaters, booties and leather! I really cannot get enough of leather and I keep finding new styles to wear. In my last post I also featured a leather mini. What can I say? When I love a trend, I love a trend! In this post, I am featuring a more feminine style leather skirt from J Crew. I also love that I can get away with wearing this to the office. I paired it with a ruffled sweater from Banana Republic to keep with the feminine mood of this outfit. The sweater is sold out online, but below I’ve linked it to something similar below.

I fell in love with these booties from Lucky, not only are the cute but they’re comfortable! These have already become my go to booties with skinny jeans, leggings or with tights.

Opi’s Lincoln Park After Dark is an essential cold weather accessory. At the first sign of cold weather, I abandon my nude polish and go dark! While I love getting a manicure, I typically do my own nails. I love short nails and I can’t stand the growth with gels, so I have discovered some secrets to at home manicures. Using a topcoat in addition to a fast drying coat will help your manicure last 2x longer.

A few weekends ago, I escaped the city and travel to Killington Vermont for a family weekend. We had spectacular weather, brilliant foliage and a quintessential Vermont weekend with hiking, a fire and a late afternoon hot tub dip. These magical family weekends make me realize how blessed I am to have this moments with those I love, spending time together and being able to escape to nature. It is memories like this that I wish I could bottle up, life’s sweetness.

With the holidays fast approaching, I am looking forward to more time with the family and our annual turkey burn. In case you’re asking yourself, what is turkey burn? It is my family’s annual kitchen dance party, which typically lasts a few hours and truly is a calorie burn! I am responsible for creating the dance mix each year and this year will mark the 9th year for this tradition.

Do any of you have annual traditions? I would love to hear how you celebrate the holidays. Wishing you and your loved ones a fantastic Thanksgiving!

Loves, V
