Summer Lust List

I’ve been dragging my feet here getting this post done, spending my time having too much fun soaking up the sunny days! Before summer is over here is my list of what I am loving this summer.

Jumpsuits. Yes, jumpsuits! I never thought I would see myself in a jumpsuit but there are so many options out there for all different body types. A classic black sweetheart style is universally flattering and looks great for a night out. Check out this affordable style at H&M or for plus size options this one at Eloquii.

Lighten up. There are so many cute jacket styles this season. For days when it is on the cooler side choose a cute moto jacket like this one from Ann Taylor or a belted jacket like this one from H&M.

Dewy skin is the perfect look for a blazing hot summer day. In the summer I mix illuminator with foundation or tinted moisturizer to create a subtle glow that is less fussy than a matte look. My favorite liquid illuminators are Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl and Smashbox’s artificial light.

Tickled Pink. Give me pink this season! From shoes, jewelry, nails, or lips, there are so many ways to accessorize with fresh and ultra feminine color. You can choose from so many shades, from vibrant colors like Bobbi Brown’s Watermelon lipstick & OPI’s Kiss My Tulips nail color or softer versions of the hue like Smash Box lipstick in Posy Pink, a subtle and ultra flattering light pink.

 

Black and White. A classic combination that never goes out style. This season you’ll find this mix in a number of on trend patterns including classic polka dots, gingham and strips. Pair this combination with a bright accessory like pink shoes or a yellow bag.

If the shoe fits. This season it is all about block heels: I am lusting after this style! A certified shoe addict needs her fix.

Golden eyes. Cooper and bronze shadows create a sexy summer goddess eye. Swipe a cream shadow like Bobbi Brown’s Beach Bronze across lids and apply mascara, it’s that simple!

Maxi dresses. Do I even need to have this effortless summer staple on the list? Most of you probably already have this go to summer classic in your closets. Dressed up or down, weekend coffee run or summer night out with friends, a maxi dress is always a great choice.

Jergens BB Body Cream. This lotion made my winter skin list, but it is also perfect for the summer! Its fast absorbing formula blurs imperfections instantly and over time firms and evens skin tone.

Neutral nails. Need a change from bright nails? I am obsessed with OPI’s Barefoot in Barcelona nail color, it is great on toes and nails when you are looking for something subtle.
